Google Outside | R/GA
Google wanted to remind people of how magical Search can be and get them to use the Search app and its Google Now feature. To do this, we took Google Search outside, demonstrating the product in a useful and unexpected way. Unique stories were created by combining data such as the time of day, weather and location at each of the 160 London screens, with the Google Knowledge Graph. Predicting user needs and ensuring that millions had useful information at just the right time.
The pilot was so successful that it has now become an international DOOH platform and we continue to push it technically and deepen the stories on display. The client has even used the project as an example of how to create future product stories.
It gained coverage in Wired, Evening Standard, Contagious Magazine, Campaign, The Drum and more.
