Lissie | Sony Music
Way back in 2010, my old creative partner, Luke, and I were lucky enough to get our first internship with the most exciting duo in the UK at the time.
To promote Lissie’s newest single, we created an interactive video that reacts to live location-based, weather data, especially important given the upcoming festival season.
Using live weather data, the site used the Google Maps API to select location, a live weather feed to supply real-time information and optional HTML 5 location sharing. To cover up weather transitions and potential lag, there was also a weatherman giving a bit more info on the weather situation as well as some light entertainment.
We won the FWA award on 29 September 2010 as well as the Public Shortlist of that year, it was voted Best In Book in the 2010 Creative Review Annual and also received a Creative Circle commendation in the Most Innovative Digital Campaign category. https://thefwa.com/cases/lissie-interactive-weather-channel?c=SOTMRunning
